What to Expect During Your First Chiropractic Visit

New to chiropractic care? Here’s what happens during your first visit, from intake to your personalized treatment plan.

Your first chiropractic visit is all about getting to know you—and understanding how we can help. At State College Family Chiropractic Center, we begin with a detailed consultation, where we learn about your health history, symptoms, goals, and concerns.

Next, we perform a comprehensive spinal and postural assessment, orthopedic testing, and neurological checks to identify the root cause of your discomfort. If necessary, we may refer you for imaging.

Once we’ve gathered all the data, we’ll review our findings and propose a personalized care plan. In most cases, you’ll receive your first treatment the same day—using the adjustment style that fits your needs and comfort level.
